Tar Heels Trying To Sort Out Just Who They Are

Chapel Hill, N.C. -- North Carolina is still struggling to figure out what kind of team it is heading into the final month of the season.

The Tar Heels are coming off a surprising road win against Virginia Tech that few expected, and also had an impressive performance in a win against East Carolina in September.

But they've also had a few clunkers, from ugly Atlantic Coast Conference losses to Georgia Tech and Virginia to a blown second-half lead in a loss to Florida State.

Quarterback T.J. Yates says the Tar Heels (5-3, 1-3 ACC) hope they're a lot closer to the team that has won the big games heading into Saturday's home game against Duke.

But the Tar Heels have to see how they'll respond to their momentum-creating victory in Blacksburg.
