Greensboro, NC - Many of you are looking for work and today, WFMY News 2 is helping people get the career advice they need to land their next job.

We're holding a career workshop we call "Passport 2 Success."   Career coaches are offering free advice on resumes, interviewing techniques and financial planning.

The event came just in time for people like Gary Fay.  He lost his job last week Thursday.  But he's hopeful he'll land something soon.

"I'm relaxed about it because I'm pretty sure my skills in information technology I'll be able to find someway to make use of that skill set," said Fay. 

This is the first time Fay will go without steady employment in more than a decade.  He's saved some money up, but his layoff still came as a surprise.
